Chairman Lee Man Hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji for short) expressed his gratitude to his church members and the city of Daegu after 4,000 congregants volunteered to donate plasma after fully recovering from COVID-19.

According to Shincheonji church in the city of Daegu, Chairman Lee stated in his letter, "I am moved in my heart," and he added, "I was overjoyed to hear that the church members in Daegu, South Korea were volunteering to donate plasma (blood) to help find a treatment for COVID-19."

"I am thankful to the government for working to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to treat those who are infected."

He added, "it is clear that the church members of Daegu church have gathered their hearts free people worldwide from the pain of COVID-19."

"This is what we must do as true believers to keep Jesus' command to love our neighbors like our own body. Thank you for gathering your hearts for this good work and becoming a light."

On June 23, a representative personnel from Shincheonji stated, "The church members of Daegu were encouraged to donate plasma, because we received help in the treatment of COVID-19. We must work together with the health authorities."
